Paramount bought Marc Haimes’ family action script Jitters, to be produced by Benderspink.
Described as in the vein of Gremlins, the story centers on a dysfunctional, recession-struck family that moves into a new neighborhood and is terrorized by superbugs.
Haimes boarded DreamWorks’ teen thriller Someone in the Dark as a producer. He also recently wrote a draft of the time-travel adventure Family History at 20th Century Fox, and his screenplay Elevator Men is set up at Summit with Mark Gordon producing.

Green Lantern director Martin Campbell told Empire magazine they’ve got their work cut out in bringing the comic book to life.
“It’s daunting,” he said. “Just the process, something like 1,300 visual effects shots, it’s mind-blowing, quite honestly.”
Campbell said that a lot of the effects shots work will concentrate on the Green Lantern’s power ring. “It’s energized by a battery on the planet of Oa, which taps into the willpower of everyone in the universe. From that ring you can form constructs. So if you got into a fight, you could form a giant fist. Or a fighter plane.”
Ryan Reynolds will play the title role in the action-adventure, which Warner Bros. Pictures will release on June 17, 2011.

Here’s the first version of MJ’s 2 week during documentary. I already saw this on the worldwide premiere day, and I liked it very much! Hope the fans can catch this movie too! You can see some screenshots below, enjoy.
Plot: Michael Jackson’s This Is It[6] is a 2009 American concert film documenting Michael Jackson’s rehearsals of the concert series of the same name (scheduled to start on July 13, 2009, but cancelled because of his death on June 25, 2009), both on stage and behind the scenes. The film shows Jackson mentoring his team for the 50 shows, as well as him creating, developing, and ultimately staging the high-tech performances. The film’s director Ortega confirmed that when Jackson had filmed footage of himself rehearsing that he never had the intention of releasing it to the public, but after Jackson’s death, it was agreed that the film be made and released for Jackson’s fans. The footage was filmed at The Forum and the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Despite originally being set for an October 30, 2009, release date, the film’s release date was rescheduled for October 28, 2009; due to a strong demand by Jackson’s fans. The was given a wide worldwide release and a limited two-week theatrical run from October 28, to November 12, 2009. 2 months after the R5, we can now finally ‘enjoy’ this movie in DVDRip quality!
Plot: Borat trickster Sacha Baron Cohen returns to the big screen to offer yet another stinging dose of sociopolitical satire in this comedy that finds him assuming the persona of gay fashionmonger Bruno, the self-proclaimed “voice of Austrian youth TV.” Originally conceived as part of Cohen’s cult television series Da Ali G Show, the character of Bruno offered a cleverly costumed Cohen the opportunity to highlight the absurdities of the fashion industry by interviewing unsuspecting fashion icons and other haute couture hangers-on.
Genre: Comedy

John Rhys-Davies told Empire magazine that he has been asked to return for The Hobbit and it’s sequel, but has declined. He played Gimli in “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy and could have perhaps played his father, Gloin, as Gimli doesn’t appear in “The Hobbit.”
“I’ve already been asked and to be honest with you, I wouldn’t,” Rhys-Davies said. “I have already completely ruled it out. There’s a sentimental part of me that would love to be involved again. Really I am not sure my face can take that sort of punishment any more.”
He added that this time around, “They’ve got a different set of problems… because you’ve got 13 dwarves, a whole band of them… You’re trying to represent a whole race… You’re trying to do for dwarves what ‘The Lord of the Rings’ did for hobbits.”
The first film is scheduled to hit theaters in December of 2011, followed a year later by the second film in December of 2012.
