Paul Wernick Talks About The Script Of Venom
SCI FI Wire talk to Paul Wernick about the script for "Spider-Man" spin-off Venom that he wrote with Rhett Reese. "We've written two drafts of Venom, and the studio has it, and they're pushing forward in whatever ways they push forward," Wernick said. "We can't really talk about that, unfortunately," he added. "Basically, the studio and Marvel and the Arads are taking our drafts and going beyond and figuring out what's the next step."

Avi Arad, the Marvel Studios founder and chief creative officer of Marvel Entertainment has had his hands in all Marvel productions, but a little tidbit that almost went overlooked regarding a project. He is working on outside of the Marvel universe: "Arad has also secured rights to make a CGI animated feature based on the venerable strongman Popeye."

FRAGMENT have released a interesting looking animated adult film called “The Haunted World Of El Superbeasto” which is directed by Rob Zombie and has some pretty decent actors doing the voice acting too including Paul Giamatti and Rosario Dawson. This film has actually been rated R for the amount of nudity and violence that is in it. Paul Giamatti, Brian Posehn, Rosario Dawson, Danny Trejo, Daniel Roebuck, Tom Kenny, Tom Papa, and, of course, Sheri Moon Zombie all lend their voices to director Rob Zombie’s animated tale of a washed-up luchador who makes it his mission to battle the forces of the supernatural. As the heroic El Superbeasto (voice of Papa) advances ever closer to his ultimate confrontation with the diabolical Dr. Satan (Giamatti), each adventure becomes more surreal and terrifying than the last.

Aimie Alexander and Colm Feore have joined the cast of Marvel Studios' comic book adaptation Thor. The movie is going to be directed by Kenneth Branagh. The movie stars aimie Alexander, Colm Feore and Chris Hemsworth. Alexander is playing Sif, a skilled Asgardian warrior who can hold her own against any man. She also is one of Thor's loves. Feore's character is shrouded in mystery, though it is known to be a villain.

Anna Faris takes on the role of Sam Sparks, a weathergirl covering the phenomenon who hides her intelligence behind a perky exterior. James Caan plays Tim Lockwood, Flint’s technophobic father. Andy Samberg plays Brent, the town bully who has plagued Flint since childhood. Bruce Campbell plays Mayor Shelbourne, who figures out that Flint’s invention can put the town, and more importantly himself, on the map. Mr. T plays the by-the-rules town cop Earl Devereaux, and Tracy Morgan takes on the role of Earl’s rule-breaking son, Cal.
